Product Overview
The aggregate of the bond AZS brick is made of zirconium and alumina raw materials. It is a kinds of lean material. So it is difficult to improve the density of brick only relying on increasing the molding pressure. And increasing the pressing times for the large piece product will cause the phenomenon of lamination and uneven density. So it should take some measures like adjusting the critical particle size composition, adding compound binder and a small amount of sintering aid Ti02 and MgO, and strengthening sintering, to achieve the purpose of the dense sintering.
The main crystal phase of bond AZS brick is mullite, corundum and baddeleyite. Under the condition of very pure raw materials, the content of glass phase can be less than 5%. Therefore, the physical-chemical basis for the production of such products is mainly the solid phase reaction between Al2O3 and ZrSiO4: 3AI2O3+2ZrSiO4—>3AI2O3*2SiO2+2ZrO2. The reaction is irreversible, also known as the "in situ reaction." Due to the large volume effect in the reaction sintering process will result in the deformation and crack of the green brick, it is necessary to prefabricate the zirconium mullite aggregate. The mullite, baddeleyite and corundum three-phase materials can be prepared with zirconium mullite aggregate, sintered or electrofused corundum materials, which are better than the two-phase materials in strength and thermal shock resistance.The microstructure of sintered AZS bricks is characterized by the uniform distribution of fine baddeleyite particles between the main crystalline phases mullite and corundum. |
The fused recombined AZS bricks are made of fused AZS grog, scrap or recovered fused AZS bricks (clean adhesive glass), with a small amount of kaolin or alumina as binder. When heated to high temperature, the fused AZS aggregate exudes the glass phase and binds to form mullite, prompting the sinter of product.The peritectic reaction of glass phase and crystal phase in fused cast AZS aggregate will also form mullitization. At this time, mullite and Zr02 are in the form of surrounding and be surrounded, which is conducive to the sintering of fused AZS particles with different grain sizes. The "white sintering property" of fused AZS aggregate is the basic principle for the production of recombined AZS bricks. |
